Interests and Hobbies:

  • Family and Church. My wife and I had our first child, Megan on Sept 5, 2007. She's a real joy and has really added tremendously to our lives.
  • Web page design (I designed a homepage for my wife and it just went from there). To get a better feel for who I am and what my interests are, please visit our homepage which is also listed above.
    • Web Sites to Date: to see an up-to-date list of my web sites and inquire about web design services, click here.
  • Music:
    • Promotion of acoustic guitarist, Doug Smith
      • I designed and maintain his Official website on the internet at http://DougSmithGuitar.com which includes a biography page, a complete discography page, a page of recent photos and links to RealAudio files to listen to many of Doug's songs, a list of Doug's guitar tunings for all of his songs, a concert information page, and links that Doug requested. I also designed and maintain http://ThreeTogether.net which is the homepage for the trio that Doug performs with.
    • Choral Music - I sing in the Victor Valley Masters Arts Chorale in Victorville, CA
    • Fingerstyle acoustic guitar - I play a James Goodall Grand Concert (Indian Rosewood back & sides, Sitka spruce top, Koa binding - a lovely instrument!) & a Seagull S6 (solid cedar top).
    • Concert Promotion and Organization:
      • Oct. 24, 1998 Stephen DiBartola, DVM and I hosted acoustic guitarist Doug Smith at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine for my first concert production. There were over 100 people in attendance. I also organized 2 other performances at Border's Books and Music and a guitar clinic for Doug at a local guitar shop.
      • April 26, 1999 Stephen DiBartola, DVM and I hosted acoustic guitarist Chris Proctor at the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. I also arranged for a guitar clinic for Chris at a local music store.
      • August 18, 2000 and May 2001: Doug Smith again for multiple concerts in different venues in Alaska. I planned and organized all aspects of each performance including ticket and poster design and production with desktop publishing software.
      • November 2001: acoustic blues guitarist Terry Robb for multiple concerts in different venues in Alaska over a 10 day period. I planned and organized all aspects of each concert.
      • July 25, 2004: Doug Smith for an outdoor concert in Wrightwood, CA with about 90 in attendance. I even performed at the concert with Doug's wife Judy on the flute, my brother Andrew playing the bongo drums, and my wife playing the shakers. It was a lot of fun!
      • July 31, 2005: Doug Smith concert at Echo Ranch in Summit Valley, CA. See photos from this weekend here.
      • August 18-19, 2005: acoustic bluesman Terry Robb for 2 concerts in Altadena and Hesperia, CA.
      • September 25, 2005: Doug Smith concert at Liberty Oaks Ranch in Murrieta, CA.
      • July 30, 2006: Doug Smith concert at Echo Ranch in Summit Valley, CA
      • September 10, 2006: Doug Smith concert at Liberty Oaks Ranch in Murrieta, CA (over 225 in attendance).
  • Horseback riding - see some photos from our 10th wedding anniversary on a 31,000 acre working cattle ranch in CA. Some great riding was done there. We also really enjoyed our ride into the Havasupai indian reservation in Arizona in 2002.
  • Mountain biking - I currently ride a full-suspension GT
  • Hiking in the Mountains
  • Camping
  • Fishing
  • Skiing --downhill and cross-country
  • Travel - we have many photos on our personal homepage of our many traveling adventures. We've been truly blessed with some great opportunities.
